Stats:

1. What is your mission statement as a singer/songwriter/lyricist?
To make music the people can relate to. I don’t really focus too much on my vocal style as much as I do the message (without coming across preachy).

2. Being a lyricist/songwriter can be a discouraging journey.
Describe moment, where you said it’s all worth it?

Probably when I finished making this record. It just felt like one more thing to cross off my “To Do” list. My concern was never the success of the album, but simply the completion of it.

3. If you weren’t working in the arts, what would you do or be?
I guess this is what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve been in and out of school and worked odd jobs all while pursuing this music career. I know it’s a pretty unsteady industry, but music has always been my focus.

4. What is the Key to becoming a better songwriter/lyricist?
Experience. You can’t write sh*t unless you’ve lived it. I write about what I’ve personally been through, or just things that I’ve seen.

5. Where do you see yourself in the next decade?
Dropping the kids off at school and afterwards going home to enjoy some tea while reading the paper. Basically, settled down. Probably won’t be making albums, but hopefully collecting royalties from album
sales…haha
