You're right...most of the stuff I buy isn't played on the radio. I very rarely listen to the radio and when I do, it's 88.9 on Friday nights. So why is all this gah-bahge on the radio? Because it's been eons since mainstream music makers made music simply for love of music. It's all about how much money it can make. How can I be the next trendsetter? How can I pretend I had all this jewelry and this car before I had a record deal and make kids want to be like me? I'm not saying that you can't make music to make money, but if you really love music, the quality of the music you make is at least of some concern.
